Why choose me
If rehab isn’t right for you, and you’re not looking for a 12-step-only path, this is a calm, structured alternative: one-to-one support, practical tools, and a plan you can actually follow.
Empathy and real-world understanding, backed by formal qualifications and years of practice.
No ideology. We use proven tools from behavioural science and SMART-style methods.
We focus on your triggers, your goals, and what’s realistic in your life.
Private, flexible sessions wherever you are.
Coaching can complement other support. You don’t have to choose just one path.
Recovery isn’t just practical, it’s emotional too. I’m here to listen, encourage, and help you work through the difficult feelings that come with change.
You’ll leave with practical strategies for urges, relapse prevention, and building a balanced life.
Why the Name?
The name is intentional. Recovery is about recognising the importance of self-care, of looking after the me. That’s not selfish. It’s essential.
When we start looking after ourselves, other areas of life naturally fall into place, relationships, work, health, purpose. Recovery begins with giving yourself permission to put you first.
And here’s what matters: recovery is a positive experience with real rewards, even though it’s hard work. I don’t do addiction war stories on this site. If you need those narratives to understand how serious addiction is, there are plenty of resources already out there. We know addiction is serious. This is about moving forward, building a recovery that’s about growth, hope, and the life you’re creating.
If you’re unsure whether coaching is the right fit, I’ve laid it out clearly here: Do I need a coach?
If you’d like to talk it through privately, you can reach me via Contacts.

Understanding Recovery
Recovery is a period of change. It is not the destination in itself but a process. Each individual's recovery is unique.
It comes from an awareness that living with addiction is no longer a place one wants to be.
Recovery is an active process of empowering one's self, to thrive and live life to the full.
Who I Help
If you don't see your exact situation listed, that's normal. Most people don't fit neatly into one box.
Common Questions
If you don't see your question here, just get in touch. Andy personally reads and replies to every message.
Not at all. Many people get in touch while they're still using or in the middle of trying to cut down. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We start from wherever you are.
Therapy often focuses on exploring the past and underlying psychological issues. Coaching is more present and future-focused. We work on where you are now, what you want to change, and the practical steps to get there. The two can complement each other well, and many clients work with both.
Yes, completely. Everything discussed in our sessions stays between us. The only exceptions are the standard safeguarding situations where there is a serious risk of harm, and these would always be discussed with you first where possible.
There's no fixed number. Some people find a handful of sessions gives them the tools and momentum they need. Others prefer ongoing support over several months. We work at your pace, and you're never locked into a commitment.
No. My approach is secular and evidence-based, drawing on SMART Recovery, occupational therapy, and established addiction behaviour science. You're welcome whatever your beliefs, religious, spiritual, or none. There's no ideology here, just practical tools that work.
I'm based in London, but all sessions are online via Zoom, so I work with clients worldwide. Whether you're in the UK, Europe, the US, or anywhere else, you can access the same confidential, professional support from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
Relapse is a common part of many people's recovery journeys, not a failure. If it happens, we treat it as information, something to learn from and adjust our approach. You won't be judged. We keep going.
You can book a session directly via Setmore, or send Andy a message if you'd prefer to ask a question first. There's no pressure and no commitment required to make contact.
